CREATE A NEW PRESET
A preset is the master file that stores a blackbox composition. It holds the pad
assignments, sequences, song sections, FX settings, Mix settings and the detailed
parameters for each of these. Blackbox does not automatically save your work. You must
save the preset to avoid losing your work when you change presets or turn off the unit.
To Create and Name a Preset:
First, you will create a new preset that will be used to store your
creation. Follow these steps to create and name your preset:
1.
Touch the
PSET
button below the screen to display the
Preset Management screen. This screen shows a list of the
presets stored on the microSD card with a menu across the
top. The currently selected preset is highlighted in blue.
2.
Touch
File
then
New
in the top menu. Use the onscreen
keyboard to enter a name for the preset. Touch
Enter
to
save the name and return to the Presets screen with the
new preset selected.
3.
Push the
PADS
button to start working with your new
preset from the Pads screen.
