If MIDI and CLOCK inputs are both used, Blackbox will select the highest
priority clock based on the following order of priority:
1. CLOCK IN (analog)
2. MIDI Input (either TRS MIDI or USB DEVICE; see above for how to choose
3. Internal Clock.

You can control whether blackbox responds to the USB Device MIDI input, the TRS MIDI
Input, or ignores MIDI clock on the Tools screen:
1.
Push
TOOLS
and then touch Clock at the bottom of the screen.
2.
Select the Receive parameter and then choose which MIDI clock source you
want to use. The options are:
□ Off: MIDI clock messages will be ignored.
□ MIDI In: MIDI clock messages from the TRS MIDI In jack will be followed.
□ USB Device: MIDI clock messages from the USB DEVICE port will be followed.
□ All: MIDI clock messages from both the USB DEVICE port and the TRS MIDI In
jack will be followed. This setting is convenient for users who want to have
both Clock sources set up at all times so they can switch back and forth
without having to reconfigure the Clock input… or for users who want to run
both Clock sources at once and watch what happens. (To quote Dr. Seuss:
“These things are fun and fun is good.”)

Blackbox gets a Clock signal from an input to the CLOCK IN jack
on the back of the case. You can tell Blackbox what PPQ to
expect on the Tools screen.

When a MIDI Clock source is connected to the Device USB port,
blackbox will follow MIDI Start, Stop, and Clock messages.

blackbox will follow MIDI Start, Stop and Clock messages.

internal clock. Set the BPM on the Song screen to adjust the
clock speed.
