CODE CA L L I NG:
NOTE: I f more than 30 seconds
elapse between key presses, o r
you pres s a n y k ey other than
those indicated, the remote exits
programming.
1 ) Chec k the code list for your
model to get the correct code
number to use.
2) Fi nd the SETUP key and the
'41K' key, press them both at
the same time keep both keys
pressed fo r about 3 seconds
and the LED will blink off and
on, then release the two keys
and the LED should stay on.
3) E n t e r y o u r 3 d i g i t c o d e
number, t h e L E D wi l l bl i nk
twice and then stay on i f your
code n u m b e r w a s i n p u t
successfully,
4) Pres s the OK key, the codes
will be stored i n the remote's
memory a n d t h e remote i s
now r e a d y f o r n o r m a l
operation.
NOTE: I f a n i n c o rre c t i n p u t
number is entered, the LED will
blink off and on for 3 seconds and
then remain on. Repeat steps 3 4
with the correct code.

press the digit keys 9, 8, 0 in
order. LED should now turn off.

the second digit of your code,

digit of the code number... 1

5 ) Press the #3 key to determine
the third digit of your code, the

LEARNING M ODE (application
range key F1-F4)
NOTE: If more than 30 seconds
elapse between key presses, the
remote will exit programming.
1) P l ac e t h e H a i e r Uni v ers al
Remote Control head to head
(about 3 cm) from your original
remote control. Also locate the
key (on y our original remote
control) t h a t y o u w a n t t h e
learning remote to record.
2) Press the SETUP key and the
OK k e y , k e e p b o t h k e y s
pressed for about 3 seconds,
the LED will turn off once and
then o n again, Release the
two keys and the LED should
stay on.
3) Select one of the learning keys
(F1 th ru F4 ) o n y our Hai er
Universal Re m o t e Co n t ro l
which y ou wi s h t o s tore a
learned c ode o n a n d pres s
that button.

4) On the original remote, press
and hold the key to be learned
for about 2 seconds , Th e
LED o n H a i e r Un i v e rs a l
Remote Control will blink off
and on twice and then slay on.
NOTE: If the LED blinks off and
on for about 3 seconds or longer,
a learning error has occurred.
5) Repeat steps 2 through 4 for
another key.
6) Press SETUP to exit Learning
Mode.
NOTE: Fo r non-s tandard c ode
should n o t be Learnt.
