Product Description
GE Mark V DS200LDCCH1A is a Drive Control LAN Communications Board.
The DS200LDCCH1A card was created by General Electric to serve as a drive control
LAN (local area network) communications board. The card was designed to work with
General Electric Speedtronic Mark V drive and exciter boards. This board is included in
the DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 series of drives. Operator interface, LAN connections, drive
and motor processing, and drive resets are all functions given by the board to the host.
This module has four microprocessors on board for a variety of interface methods. A
LAN control processor (LCP) and a drive control processor are included on the card
(DCP).
The LCP can accommodate five bus systems, while the DCP provides a control for
integrated peripheral I/Os such as timers and decoders. A motor control processor
(MCP) and a co-motor processor are also integrated on the board (CMP).
The MCP is in charge of both the motor control circuits and the I/O
communications. When the MCP's processing capacity is insufficient to do difficult
math calculations, the CMP will provide the necessary processing power.
